Elaine on human trafficking

Here is a rough video I’ve made on the issue of human trafficking.

As I upload the video, this comes with news of two successful trafficking prosecutions in Scotland (see http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-15150364).

If you would like to read more on the state of trafficking globally, the Trafficking in Persons 2011 report is a good place to start- http://www.state.gov/g/tip/rls/tiprpt/2011/ (you can look at the country narratives to read specifically on certain countries).

In my view, the issues of climate change and movement of people (whether as trafficked persons, refugees or displaced people) are the two biggest issues of the coming few years. Both impact on each other and result in greater environmental degradation, abuse of environmental and human resources and greater human insecurity.

You are so eloquent, Elaine. Do you have proof that NSZ is both a destination and a source of traffiking?
How do you feel about your job seeking journey there? xx
